The nomination "Responsible for those ...": Zhenya Chubutov sheltered a dog and asked for help from volunteers.
One day in May, a schoolboy called the Stavropol shelter "Ark", which is the winner of the special prize of the international award "My affectionate and necessary animal", introduced himself as Evgeny and asked for help. It was necessary to find at least a temporary home for the dog, which the teenager took from the street, Stavropol reports. Media".
But the story turned out to be much more tragic. Zhenya didn't just pick up the dog on the street, but literally saved it from a crowd of violent teenagers. He noticed a group of guys beating up a small creature, and did not remain indifferent.
"We were playing with the guys and I went to get water in the water pistols, and I see two guys beating a dog, and the third one is standing next to it. I chased them away. You might not say that I love animals, but when I saw it, my heart bled. I can't watch when animals get hurt. I wanted to protect him, so I rushed to help," said Zhenya Chubutov.

But the adventures of Zhenya and the stray dog, which turned out to be a puppy girl, did not end there. The schoolboy got the mongrel drunk, and by the way she greedily began to slurp water and tremble, the boy realized that something was obviously wrong with the animal, he needed help.
"We have booths in our yard where dogs used to live and we left her to spend the night in a booth. Then it started to rain heavily, I was very worried about the dog, I was afraid that she would get wet and get sick. A girl from the neighborhood and I brought food and water, made a hot water bottle, and covered it with blankets. Then I called the Ark Animal shelter, it was almost 11 p.m. I was promised that volunteers would arrive in the morning," the student continues.

The volunteers took the mongrel for overexposure, but first they took him to the vet, did tests and all the necessary procedures. They named the dog Sunny, she turned out to be too cheerful. And Zhenya asked the volunteers to take care of his new four-legged friend.
