The nomination "Responsible for those...": Tatiana Oborina became so involved in the process that she opened a shelter for homeless animals in Surgut.
The story of a Yugorchanka rescuing destitute dogs was told by journalists of the online publication «86.ру». Tatiana Oborina moved to Surgut 6 years ago and in 2021 opened a shelter in the Siberian city "We give a new life". But the story of stray dogs and the girl Tanya began much earlier.
"With my friends, we brought animals home from the street, took a phone directory and just started calling people, completely randomly. They offered to take the dog home from the street, and we really found owners for them! Since childhood, I had a dream to open an animal shelter, then life threw me to live in Surgut, and here, as they say, it took off," said Tatiana Oborina.

Tatiana had wanted to take a dog for herself and become a full-fledged mistress for a long time. But life circumstances did not allow it. And, very shortly after moving to a new city for herself, Tatiana stumbles upon an advertising post in the news feed, where a house for a puppy was built.
"A few days later, after endless discussions about this puppy, I brought him home. And that's it, I couldn't stop. I started going to the shelter from which I took the puppy, at first occasionally, then I decided to take pictures of those dogs as a volunteer and look for a home for them. I didn't dare to organize a shelter, it all happened by accident. We inherited dogs that we've already grown accustomed to. Once we even stayed with them at night in an open field," our heroine continues.

The shelter "Giving a new Life" is exclusively charitable. The purpose of the volunteers is to help homeless animals who find themselves in a life–threatening situation. And Siberian winters, as you know, are characterized by extremely harsh conditions. Therefore, the shelter provides treatment for ponytails, vaccinates, and sterilizes animals. And they are kept on temporary overexposure.
Currently, the main task of the shelter is to improve it.: the construction of a new fence, kitchens and walking areas, as well as the filling of the territory. Every Saturday, an open day is held here for those who might want to take the dog to their place. Both regular volunteers and new guests come, often with whole families. After all, the main task of the volunteers is to find old owners or a new family for the most devoted Surgut ponytails.
